Honestly, Bob is the reason this is not a 1 star review. He is an excellent, knowledgeable, friendly person and I enjoyed doing business with him personally.
I decide on purchasing the 4.5c, and they tell me it will be ready a few days before I was leaving on a road trip with my new ride. They said they would call me when it was ready. The day they said it would be ready rolls around, and I haven't heard anything, so I call them and verify. They say it will be one day late. Ok. Next day rolls around, still haven't heard anything, so I call and verify AGAIN and I'm told it would be another day late. Ok, I understand stuff can happen at the warehouse, it's probably not BCS's fault. Bob understood that this meant that I had to push my trip back a day, and was very apologetic and personally ensured that I got my bike, along with a $200 gift card.
I was in the market for a new Yeti at the end of Summer 2016, so I opted to demo the SB4.5c and the SB5c. A few days before the demo they inform me that they sold off all their demo 5c's, and were replacing it with a 5.5c at a discounted demo price.... OK, whatever, it's the end of demo season so I can understand that.
Frankly, I feel incredibly disrespected after giving this business many thousands of dollars for gear and service. The treatment they have shown me, as a serious customer, has been mostly dirt poor. I will be patronizing other more competent shops from now on, and probably should have just called it good after purchasing my bike.
The last straw came when I tried to replace my fork lower. BCS Service was incredibly difficult to communicate with. After they said they would get a quote from Fox and call me, I waited 4 weeks without any word from them when I followed up myself. They said Fox didn't have them in stock. That would have been nice to know earlier. I waited an additional 3 weeks and followed up AGAIN after no word, and they said they finally got a quote and said I should have received a call about it. Well guys, I didn't.
What a great shop. We were visiting from out of town, and wanted to get out for a ride. The owner Justin and his crew got us on a couple sweet Scott Geniuses and pointed us to a fantastic local trail, riding distance from The shop . Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. I can't recommend them highly enough.
I tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt too many times. My dealings with this shop have unfortunately led to much frustration, and I will no longer be giving them my business.
Awesome staff! Dan was incredibly helpful and we had an awesome ride because of his assistance. The bikes we rented were top of the line and worth every penny. I highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase or rent a bike in Boulder.
Throughout the year, I took my bike in for a number of service appointments, from a tuneup to dealing with my dropper post that started leaking. I received my bike back late from every one of these appointments.
Thanks to Justin and his great shop got my Brand New BMC I bought from them back on the road quickly and efficiently...thanks for the great Service love your shop it's by FAR the best around!
After searching the big box stores to get my 3 year old boys their first bikes, I walked away disappointed and empty handed. So one day during work I walked across the street from my office to Boulder Cycle Sport. I was greeted by a friendly smile and pointed to the Animator Bike. The quality of which I was envisioning was there and thought my boys would love them. The North Location had 2 bikes in stock, but one of the colors I preferred was not. So a quick call to the South Location and I was set to pick up the two bike's I wanted. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smiling face and two bike's that had been road tested and were waiting for me. All in all a great and easy experience and my boys love them. I've got another set of twins (girls) who will need bikes in the future. I know what my first stop will be.
