Love Vegan Fridays! Really wish they'd make the panini sandwiches more though
Unfortunately I can not recommend this restaurant. I went there with work colleagues for lunch on Tuesday and it was pretty packed so we knew service would be slow. I ordered the Boulder Bean Burger and it didn't taste quite right but nothing I could put my finger on, I just assumed it was not the best bean burger out there, it did feel a little under cooked looking back but nothing I was too concerned about since it was not a meat burger. Within hours my stomach started cramping and by later that night I was projectile vomiting. Woke up the next morning and vomited again and had to stay in bed most of the day with fever, chills and weakness. By the next morning I was pretty much fine besides not much of an appetite from the experience. I have never had food poisoning before but this sure felt like what it would be. Very unfortunate that it appears such a well respected restaurant did not make sure my dish was prepared safe to eat. Busy or not, make sure the food is cooked properly and safe as I would not wish that on anyone. I am super healthy, rarely get sick (once every couple years), a vegetarian and this rocked my world. I gave 2 stars (instead of 1) as I don't think it was intentional and the wait staff was friendly.
Downtown Boulder has good mount of dining options, and if you are looking for an upscale dining, you can find one inside St. Julien Hotel & Spa.
This is one restaurant that I did not leave feeling like I could have done better at home. Table side Caesar salad and New York strip are my favorite
The restaurant had 3 sections or rooms, the first one was the bar and high tables, the middle middle room was the largest, with kitchen and large tables, and the last room had booth seating with some more table seating as well. We sat in the middle room, the largest, at the around table by the window. It was quite a beautiful room.
It's refreshing to know that there are wonderful places like this for dinner.
A very nice wine selection and the food was really good. The hanger steak was cooked nicely, with a nice charring. The only complaint was that I wish they drizzled the peppercorn sauce on the steak. Oyster Rockefeller appetizer (gulf coast oysters) was really flavorful. I recommend trying the restaurant.
The drink selection was great, I had one of their special cocktails which was amazing, and a bottle of wine which was very high quality. The food was pretty good also, not large portion but good, solid dishes.
Our server was extremely nice, friendly, accommodating and polite. But, it was a very slow service. We were not in rush, but still, it was slow. And the fact that we didn't get any tea spoon or sugar for our coffee was a no-no. Since we couldn't locate her or any staff, we used left over fork or knife to stir our coffee/cappuccino...
