Their contractor sent a low-skilled worker to install kitchen cabinets, who then cut the water line to our fridge, which was not noted on the work order, and replaced it with a plastic hose incorrectly. When our water was turned back on, well after he left our house, it popped off the back of the fridge and flooded our home. We had to get our floors replaced, through our own home insurance because Home Depot and the contractor refused to take responsibility, citing that the worker did not write down on the form that he cut the hose. He was questioned about it later, and lied. The contractor told us they couldn't let go of every worker they had complaints about because then they wouldn't have any workers left. The contractor is willfully allowing workers to stay on after they damage customers' homes. The Boulder store manager was equally appalling in his conduct, and we complained to corporate, but they were not the least bit concerned.

If you are considering hiring Home Depot for design or installation of any sort, I strongly urge you to reconsider. I waited a year to write a review, hoping they would do the right thing and at least reimburse us for our $500 home insurance deductible. The anguish alone wasn't worth it. Go somewhere else.

They'll over promise and under deliver at every opportunity but make up for it by sending you installers from HOM Solutions that show-up stoned and late. Said installers will then lie to you and try to steal from you as an added bonus! And they do such poor work that 90% of it will have to be warrantied! Of course the warranty work will be done by yet another crew of installers who are just as bad as the first ones!

Looking for a company to totally screw-up your remodeling job? You're in the right place! I'm giving them the lowest rating possible. If I could give them a negative rating I would!

We arrived at Boulder store to pick it up and found they were selling us the floor model. I asked for a discount the help desk gal named Rhonda asked why I wanted the discount and demanded I show her where the damage was. I told her just give me my money back. She huffed off and turned us over to Miguel who said he would offer us a 10%discount. That was agreeable. We went through with the purchase.

How about the total inability to keep to any schedule? They turned a 2 week project into a 6 month catastrophe! And I'm still dealing with warranty claims from the poor work done by their installers.

I came in the following day and got great service there. I don't know what's up with the service center guys.

Not only will I never shop at the Boulder Home Depot ever again, I won't even shop at a different location. Not even for lightbulbs. Home Depot has lost my business for life.

Over all a mixed experience.

Went into store on a Wednesday to look at Husky wheeled tool chest. Spoke to pro desk David and he said he would order the item for pick up at the store closer to our home in Firestone. I received confirmation of order ready on Thursday, however it was at the Boulder store and would not be ready for pickup at the Firestone until after Monday. We wanted on Saturday to load and have ready for a construction project we will be starting next weekend.

I moved here in 2009 - Home Depot had many over-qualified workers: builders, etc. All I needed to do is walk into the store, explain my projects and someone would take me around the store and fill up the cart for me complete with instructions. It is different now. A little harder to find someone who understands the mechanics of products or make good recommendations. But still good service.

Call center guys are super lazy and could not get me a person until 20 + minutes on hold. They also hung up on me twice.

Chase was the young man who helped load the 400lb item .He did a great job.

Side note - since this traumatic experience occurred, we have purchased new flooring for other parts of our home, a new washer and dryer, and other appliance/tools/household items from other retailers in the area. By refusing to do the right thing, Home Depot has lost thousands of dollars from our household alone, not to mention the dozen other households of friends and family who have since heeded our warning. Good luck on your home improvements. I hope no one ever has to go through what we went through.

We hired them to design our kitchen, which was our first mistake. The designer never came to our home; she merely relied on faulty measurements and photos taken by another Home Depot employee. They hire contractors for installations, and they absolve themselves of any responsibility. So if you think you're protected because they are "bonded and insured", they aren't. Their contractors are, but they typically take the lowest bidding company in town, so you're not getting very skilled workers in your home.

And to "complete" your experience you'll get horrendous customer service from a bullying manager who blames you for everything and denies responsibility for anything! And he’ll try to intimidate you and be passive-aggressive too!

The installers damaged my home every time they showed-up. There was damage to appliances, antiques and the interior and exterior. I've currently been waiting 4+ weeks for someone to come out and inspect 2 tiles that have already cracked!

The damage took a year to fix, the countertops are not installed correctly, and we hired a different company to install our new flooring.
