I first contacted Sarah to modify child support, expecting it would cost under $10K and be over in a matter of months. A year and a half and $36k later, no arbitration had taken place and I ended up having to do the arbitration without representation. I am sure Sarah works well in situations where you are dealing with two reasonable attorneys, but I feel she was outmatched, and was not used to dealing with the complexity of the situation and the dirty tricks and accusations that opposing counsel was dishing out. I ended up losing my business, being convicted of two charges of contempt, and now face jail time.

Whitney Whitson is an excellent attorney. She was easy to contact when I had a question and always kept me up to date on my case. If needed, I would absolutely work with Whitney again.
I hate to be the voice of dissent in all these 5- Star reviews, but I would NOT use them again. My situation was I was simply looking at modifying my maintenance payments. I was there in the spring, and meet briefly with an attorney ($100) who told me it was worth crunching some numbers to see if it was worth pursuing. I first decided to (foolishly) work with my ex-wife to see if we could do it without lawyers. I returned in the fall to work with the firm and explained I simply wanted to try and see if it was worth pursuing and just wanted to crunch some numbers, and hoped it would only cost a 1/3rd or less of my retainer ($1800).
She said she didn't think it could be done at that original first meeting, but didn't think it would take much to just crunch numbers. The exact words she used were "It would be malpractice if we didn't."
Just like the movie A Few Good Men. Sarah Rizzolo was thundering away in court while my Ex-wife's lawyer didn't have much to say. I have a lot of confidence that we were going win the case because how well she prepared everything before going to court. we won the case because she left no stone unturned. that's why I am hiring her again.
Sarah seems to be over worked, often preparing at the last minute and over the weekend. I really can't see how my situation could have turned out worst if I didn't have an attorney at all. It feels like I have been left out to dry.
$1600 (so far, I'm sure there will be more to come) later, and 2 emails that went without a response, I find out it's NOT worth pursuing. I feel there was a massive communication breakdown, and I did not get even close to what I asked for. I'm so mad, hurt, and now broke due to this firm. I was broke when I walked in, which is WHY I walked in. I would make sure to read everything they give you VERY carefully and make sure you're SUPER clear on what you hope to achieve with this firm, because in my opinion, they were poor communicators, that left me in a deeper hole than I was in when I walked through the door.

She works very hard and communicates with me on a regular basis so I always know what is going on regarding my case. It seems just as important to Sarah as it is to me that I receive what is fair and what I am asking for regarding my situation.
