Macy's has become so desperate to increase revenue, they have a "sale" just about every week.... yawn; it's the same "sale" as last week with no real deals.
Macy's is not what is used to be, we all know that.
Macy's is definitely not what it used to be. They have made all there clearance items a last chance act, that way none of the coupons they send you will work on it and you only have 30 days for a return, no exceptions, not even 1 day over. Not right Macy's. You have lost a very long time, good customer. They wonder why they are closing stores. No customer service anymore. The boulder store has to close early mon-weds because they said they don't have the business. HELLO!
Macy's has pre-announced pending store closings in 2017: if this location is on the list, no big loss and it can go to retail heaven with the likes of Mervyn's, Sports Authority and all the rest who exploit the workers while not really providing any great service to the Consumer. Up
Can always find deals. Seems that Macy's is always running some sale. Whether it is shopping for every day clothing, bedding, kitchen accessories, you will always find what you are after. Sometimes I run across early Christmas gifts. Whatever the occasion Macy's has you covered.
I came in to buy two pair of Levis. After laundering one pair, the dye faded unevenly and the front of the pants were streaky. When I went in to replace the pants (with the original receipt) I was treated suspiciously as if I were trying to pull a return scam. After receiving the special authorization from the "manager", I was then allowed to make the exchange. When I brought the replacement pair back up to the cash register station, I was told I now owed $0.76: "Sorry, that's what the computer says" was the explanation from the Clerk. Suddenly, she did me the favor of a few magical keystrokes whereby I no longer owed more money for a direct, same-item exchange. (whew, thanks!)
One example is the fact that it's November and yet they only have one tiny, sordid section of the 2nd floor (women's clothing) dedicated to coats. That's it. Probably 30ish light coats and/or parkas. Either they're desperately trying to stay open the wrong way or really hoping someone buys their non-winter casual clothing.
Quality clothing , skincare and makeup, fun to explore kitchen cooking gadgets. Discovered they raise the price then lower to make look like a sale, disappointed with that tactic, altho now i know how to figure out when its really best sale. Do not recommend Martha stewart kitchen products, they rust after a few washings. Tend to carry ladies and younger clothing.
This Macy's was here even before they renovated/rebuilt the 29th Street Mall. Unfortunately it's still small for what it could have been. Either a third level (more probable) or more space (less probable) is something this location sorely needs.
